Unleashed Edit: Kara's Autumn Forest Run

Kara was one of our amazing models at our recent Unleashed Workshop in Arrowtown, New Zealand. I loved her so much that I got her back for her own special shoot after the workshop. We shot some beautiful portraits, but my favourite shots of her were the action shots like this one!

With the white balance corrected, her black and white colouring will stand out so well against the autumn colours, but it’s a tricky balance making her whites look properly white, and her blacks look properly black, while retaining all the fur detail.

Using a careful balance of global adjustments and masks in Lightroom, I’ll show you how to do her bold colour justice, while also retaining that deliciously warm autumn colour palette. To deal with the noise in the image, I’ll also give you a guided tour of Lightroom’s brand new Denoise feature - it’s really quite amazing!
