We're halfway through Embark already and the Soul Searcher challenge is all about capturing those eyes, clear and sparkling, looking up at the camera, creating that 'puppy dog eye's look.

We had some absolutely incredible submissions for this challenge, but here, in no particular order, are our top 10 images.

This is the very definition of Soul Searcher. Another simple shot, beautifully edited and meeting the brief perfectly.

The framing from the ferns, which perfectly contrast the reddish fur really draw your eye into those eyes in this shot.

Utterly adorable puppy dog eyes, who could resist them? Really clean edit with no distractions and the puppy is posed really nicely.

This is another clean and simple backdrop that leaves your eye nowhere to go other than that tongue and the eyes. Beautiful shot, really wonderfully edited.

The dog contrasts so well against the dark background and the pop of colour and movement from the leaves really made this shot stand out in the submissions.

The choice of using a wide-angle lens to create more of a caricature of this dog really stood out amongst the Soul Searcher submissions. The paving really add dimension to this humourous shot.

This shot has a lovely graphic quality with the black and white tiles. The dog is centred and symmetrical and we're drawn right into those beautiful eyes looking up at us.
