Emerge 2025 All In The Details Top 10

Since our pets are such unique looking creatures, they will always have particular features that their owners love.

You must have heard people talk about their favourite bits of their dogs before. The weird, quirky or cute parts that make them unique. Including shots that show off those details in albums and storyboards lends more depth and meaning to your work and gives clients a beautiful reminder of what makes their dogs even more special.

We absolutely love this challenge and getting to see these unique traits of every animal. It was another seriously impressive set of submissions and narrowing down our top 10 was tough.

But here, in no particular order, are our favourite images from the All in the Details challenge.

Congratulations to the photographers!

We provide video feedback on all images submitted for the challenge, and from there, we select our Top 20 and Top 10. Without further ado, here are the Top 10 images for this challenge!

Carol Mudra | Apawture Studios

This otherworldly winged creature really brings a smile to your face. The intense distorted closeup, drool, and colour palette all bring a wonderful sense of humour and joy.

Carol Wolfram

What a fun interpretation of this challenge brief, this will be familiar with all long and shaggy haired dog owners! The chicken legs and submerged spread of floof! It's comedic and wonderfully captured.

Clarice Olayvar | R Olayvar Photography

This evokes everything the scarlet macaw is, colourful, bold and striking. The composition has a wonderful flow and the level of sharpness and detail is outstanding.

Connie Passejna

What a sweet moment of this sleepy dog, the shiny textured nose print is the star of the show. The leg with wrinkled cheek resting over it play the supporting role that tells a familiar story to all dog lovers of a very content and relaxed pooch.

Jo Lyons | Jo Lyons Photography

A beautifully composed image, well timed and photographed and the edit has a fantastic level of finesse.

Kerstin Mitchell

What a dramatic and textural details image. The closed eyes add a quietness amongst all the chaos and bring a really lovely settled feel.

Liz Dranow | TimePunk Pet Photography

The similarities in tone and texture is so well seen here. The dogs fur really stands out because of the incredible detail and sharpness.

Polona Železnikar

These rich gold and orange tones are sublime. The detail and texture throughout guides the eye through the image and where it rests at the single white feather.

This image instantly grabs you, that eye is captivating and the reflection gives a sense of calm meditation, while the swathe of fabric is reminiscent of Steve McCurry's infamous Afghan Girl portrait.

Szekelyi Beatrix | beatrix7607

What a peaceful feeling this image gives the viewer. The closed eye and gorgeous long eyelashes draw you in and the texture cycles your eye around the image over the eyebrows and back to the eye.
