One technique that works wonders for dogs who tend to wander around is putting them up on something.

In natural areas, fallen logs make great platforms for encouraging them to stay in one place while elevating the dog also has many other benefits.

What's more, elevating them is a great alternative to getting down low. We call this style of shot Up Ups, which makes total sense right?!

So for the Up Ups challenge, we are asking to see images with the dog elevated, it doesn't matter what, as long as they are up on something. We had some gorgeous and super creative images submitted by our challengers this time and here, in no particular order are our top 10. Congratulations everyone!

What a great pose having the dog facing away and looking back at us shows them off really nicely and adds an extra touch of personality. The leading lines work really well in this image.

What a fantastic pose in a location that’s fitting of the dog. The diagonal columns add texture and an interesting dynamic feel to the image.

Posing the dog laying down facing one way and looking the other has resulted in a lovely statuesque pose. The texture in the fur the soft backlight and colour palette add a wonderful warmth to the image.

This image has a fantastic composition that works really well for the location and the objects the dog is standing on. The detail in the Black is lovely and the face is nice and sharp.

Fabulous Up Ups posing on the log, great complementary colour harmony and use of the light. The shape of the log on the right acts as a balancing element to the dog too.

This is SO feline! The balancing act on the banister is a fantastic interpretation of the Up Ups brief. The cat has a gorgeous expression, enhanced by the soft colour palette.
