Complex leash removal in Photoshop - Speed Edit

The long black lead snaked down from Turbo's collar, across Andy's blue jeans and puddled in front of his shoes. This was going to be a complex one!
So complex, in fact, I decided not to waste the experience and instead share the process. I removed the leash using a combination of techniques and tools - mainly the Patch Tool, the Spot Healing Brush Tool and the trusty old Clone Stamp Tool. This 3-minute video is sped up x4, so it actually took about 10 minutes to do.
