Exporting Images From Lightroom

Here's the recommended settings when Exporting from Lightroom (File > Export).

1: Export Location

Select the folder where you want to save your image.

2: File Naming

It's entirely up to you how you name the files, we have no requirements for image submissions.

3: File Settings

  • Set Image Format to JPEG
  • Set Colour Space to sRGB
  • Quality 100

4: Image Sizing

  • Check Resize to Fit and choose Long Edge from the dropdown menu
  • Change the Size to 4,000 and select pixels from the dropdown menu
  • Resolution should be 72 ppi

5: Metadata

Please include all metadata so we can check time and date, and camera settings.

6: Watermarking

If you have your watermark set up in Lightroom, add it here. Please make sure it is small, discreet and doesn't distract from the image. We recommend putting a watermark in one corner like the example below.

Then click Export!

Saving from Photoshop

Go to File > Save a Copy.

Select the folder you want to save your image in and rename it if you like.

Make sure the file format is JPEG and you have ticked to embed the sRGB colour profile. If a different colour profile is listed here, you may need to go back and convert your image to sRGB.

Press Save.

When the JPEG Options box pops up, set the quality to 10 and click OK.
