Unleashed Edit: Noodle's Black and White Edit

View All Edits

This shot of Noodle was taken on a rather overcast day, and while the light is fairly flat and not very dynamic, it does have some good aspects that make it ideal for a black and white conversion.

But what’s the best way to convert an image to black and white, without it looking flat? There’s a few different ways it can be done in both Lightroom and Photoshop.

In this edit you’ll learn what makes a good candidate for a black and white conversion, best practices for how to actually convert the image to greyscale in Lightroom - plus what to do with the image to create some drama after you’ve converted it!
